SinuSonic Use Tips Videos | oPEP - The Flutter

Not sure what the flutter should sound like?

Watch the video of founder David Lewis and listen as he demonstrates the "flutter" sound.

It's okay if you're not able to maintain the flutter sound with each exhale through your nose, over time it will get easier. The goal is to make adjustments to your breathing or body position (sometimes leaning forward makes it easier to create the flutter sound) until you hear a flutter, the sound of relief.

Hi, I’m David Lewis, an important component of our technology is the flutter. Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure, we want you to hear the flutter and you need to exert a bit of effort as you exhale, breathe in and out at a natural normal pace, if you feel light-headed at all, pull the device away and breathe in and out through your nose, when you feel normal again, return the device to your nose and finish your session, we want you to hear the flutter, the sound of relief.

Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure (oPEP) or what we call a flutter. It involves breathing with a slightly active expiration against an expiratory resistance through the SinuSonic device.
